Lightweight Hoods for Chevy Cavalier Z-24

If you want to soup up your Z24 ride, you might want to lighten it’s load.

The hood of a Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 is quite heavy – believe me…

…We’ve removed it to paint it properly before and it took my dad and my husband to carry it.

If you want your car to be fast, this might be one of the first things you do.

We’re not sure exactly what kind of hood we will replace it with yet or what kind of material it will be.

I’ve seen those clear hoods before and they are neat because you can see right through them and you’re able to check out the cool engine underneath.

However, that won’t look as streamlined as something that will match the rest of the vehicle.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions or advice on this?

If so, please leave a comment in the comment box below!

P.S. If you haven’t yet seen The Fast and The Furious, you really must! One of the greatest racing movies of all time, plus a great story to boot – That’s where the 10-second car comment came from above:
