Making Ruby a Hybrid?

Well, in order to start our “pimping” of our beloved Cavalier Z-24, Ruby, we must get her running first.
Since there is quite a bit of work that needs to be done mechanically, and quite a bit that will need to be done relatively soon too, we are probably going to put in an entirely new engine…
We probably won’t be using Ruby for racing or anything like that, since we’re a little bit past that stage in our lives now, but want her to fit into our lives, and the situation at hand in the economy and the environment.
So, we have been thinking of making her a hybrid of sorts. Either running on ethanol, water, or making her completely electric…Not sure…We really love that rumble of that Chevy Engine, so we’re not sure if we’re willing to give that up to an electric vehicle…LOL
However, there is something that we can do to relieve the pressing gasoline issues and our carbon footprint.
